Baby Appointments

Next Ultrasound appointment and check-up is: May 1 at 3:00.

The BIG 20 week ultrasound appointment when we hope to find out if we are having a boy or girl is: May 8 at 12:15. This time the 20 week ultrasound will be done at the hospital.

Mommy will be 17 weeks along this Friday! I have been feeling well just the normal being very tired. I have felt a few movements in the evening that feel to me like baby moving. I will get some belly pump pictures up soon. 

A Good Laugh!

Some funny Kees sayings from the past week:

Kees and I were walking past a bridal store in the city and he looked at the dresses in the window and said, "Mama you like those Angels? "

We were reading a book about Jesus and how he loves the little children. There was a page at the end of the book were you could write what you would want to ask Jesus. Kees was looking at the picture of the kids writing down their questions to Jesus and said, "They are going to the grocery store." I guess he thinks anytime you write something down it is a grocery list. 

Kees was playing a computer game and it was all about the color red. The red pen, the red car, the red house, the red chair....red, red, red. As a joke Steve turned to Kees and asked, "Kees what color are you learning about? Kees answered with a silly grin "Pink."

 Kees loves to sing and here he is having a fun sing along with Papa in the car. :)

Stuffed Animals

Kees loves stuffed animals. When we go to a toy store he looks right past the toys and only wants to pick out a stuffed animal. Here he is at nap time sharing his bed with his animals. His beloved "Doggy" is always the one that makes it in his arms. :)

Easter 2012

 We had a great morning at church this Easter. I helped out with the kids with face painting. Here is Kees enjoying listening to the Easter story.

 They told the Easter story by using eggs with things inside about Jesus. Kees opened his egg and it was empty...to tell of the empty tomb.

 After church we headed out to the team house for a Easter dinner together. Above Easter cupcakes!

 The meal was wonderful! We all were stuffed! We had ham, fried chicken, mash potatoes, green beans, rolls, salad, fruit salad, pie and cupcakes!

J.T set up a fun Easter egg hunt for Kees that kept him busy searching! He had a blast!

Easter Egg Hunt!

 Today at Kees' school they had a special Easter party and egg hunt. All the parents were invited to come along. Kees thought that it was pretty cool that mom could come with him today. The morning started out following the paper egg map in the neighborhood to the park!

 Kees loved the ride on bike at the park. We also found a fun new park to go to in the neighborhood.

 Kees always runs to the slide first.

 Then we followed the paper egg map to another park and there he was the Easter Bunny!

 So, the boy in the picture is not Kees because Kees would not go anywhere near this bunny. I didn't blame him...that is one freaky looking Easter bunny! The boy in the picture doesn't look so sure either.

We finished the day back at Kees class with a Easter party and the kids got to play in the gym. Kees has a great school and I love his teacher. She makes every morning so much fun in class for the kids and really cares about each of them.

My sweet husband brought his pregnant wife a beautiful bouquet of my favorite Gerbera Daisies. What a guy!

Ultrasound!

Kees was enjoying himself at the clinic today! We picked him up early from school today to come to the ultrasound. As we were walking out of his class he yelled, "I go to doctor!" He has been excited to see the baby on the screen. The appointment went well. Baby is growing and my tummy is starting show a bit now! Everything looked good and on the ultrasound we could see little arms, feet, legs, back and the stomach. I always love hearing the heartbeat as well. The baby was upside down so we got a funny picture of our upside down little one. I hope to start feeling those first kicks in the next few weeks! I will be at 15 weeks along on Friday.

Taking the Bike to Church!

 The weather has been warm enough for Kees to start riding his bike again. He rode to school for the first time last week and this Sunday he rode to church! It has been nice for him to be able to get outside again and burn some of his energy!

 Someone wasn't in the mood for pictures so this is Kees not happy he had to get off his bike so mom could take his picture...

Kees is in the middle of saying, "I get back on my bike now..." My idea of him smiling sitting in the flowers shirt pressed and hair neatly combed for a picture will have to wait for another day. :)
