Bergen aan Zee

This past week Steve and I stayed at a small town on the beach called Bergen aan Zee.

Steve and I took a Christmas trip this past week. One thing I love about this time of year in the NL is all the great Christmas markets. We went to Valkenberg, Netherlands to see the Christmas market that is in a cave! We also went to a large Christmas market in Maastricht.

Disney's Birds on Ice

This morning I braved the ice cold temps to get some pictures of the birds standing on the ice.

Helperkerk Christmas Concert

Last night was a beautiful Christmas concert at our home church. The sounds of Beethoven and Mozart filled the church.

Baby Kramer enjoying the Christmas concert. He loves music. Every time during worship or when Steve is playing music in his office little Kramer starts moving to the music. We even share my ipod sometimes :)

O.I.T Chi Alpha in Amsterdam

O.I.T Chi Alpha came through Amsterdam yesterday on their way to Israel. They had a 10 hour lay over so we came down from Groningen to show them around the beautiful city of Amsterdam. We took them on a Amsterdam boat tour, had a pannekoeken lunch, and tried to keep warm!

Gifts from Sinterklaas

On the 5th we celebrated Sinterklaas holiday with a family in our church. On this gift giving evening each person is given a gift and poem from "Sinterklaas." The night before children put a carrot in their shoe for Sinterklaas' horse. If they have been a good little boy or girl then they will have candy in their shoe in the morning....if they have been bad they will get a shoe full of salt. There are many lekker things to eat at Sinterklaas. The giving of a chocolate letter is one of my favorite traditions!
